Eco Schools

What we do

An Erasmus+ project helping educators bring sustainability into the classroom. With ready-to-use lesson plans, practical tools, and community collaboration, Eco-Schools empowers students to build a greener future.

About us

Eco-Schools is an Erasmus+ funded project that equips educators with the knowledge, tools, and skills to embed sustainability into school curricula. By promoting a culture of environmental responsibility among students, the project supports the development of greener, more conscious learning environments.

Through collaboration between schools, environmental experts, and local communities, Eco-Schools fosters interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability education. The project provides a comprehensive framework, practical teaching resources, and ready-to-use lesson plans to help educators integrate environmental themes across subjects.

Our goals align with the European Green Deal and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aim to raise environmental awareness, empower young people to become active global citizens, and support the transition toward a more sustainable Europe, starting with classrooms.

Our Objectives

Equip teachers

with the skills, knowledge, and resources to incorporate sustainability into their everyday teaching practices.

Engage students

in learning about sustainability, developing skills to lead more environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Create a network

of eco-schools across participating countries that promote and implement sustainable practices.

Raise awareness

within the school communities on the importance of sustainability and how small actions can contribute to the global sustainability agenda.

Develop and share educational materials

focused on sustainability in education to be used across the participating schools.

Empowering Schools for a Sustainable Future

Foster collaboration between schools, local authorities, and environmental organizations to support long-term sustainable initiatives and community involvement.

Our Target Group

Teachers,Students,Wider Educational Community

This initiative is designed to engage secondary and high school educators in fostering innovative and inclusive learning environments for students aged 12 to 18. It aims to support teachers in developing practices that meet the evolving needs of their classrooms while actively involving the wider educational community, including school leaders, educators from other institutions, parents, and local stakeholders. By encouraging collaboration across these groups, the initiative promotes a holistic approach to education that strengthens student outcomes and builds a more connected, supportive educational ecosystem.
